Requirements
Students may obtain a minor in Hindi by taking Hindi 101, 102, 201, 202, 301, and either 302 or an approved course in Hindi literature and/or culture. If 300-level courses are not offered, then other courses can be substituted in consultation with the Hindi Language Coordinator and the Director of Undergraduate Studies.
Students with previous knowledge of Hindi may obtain a minor in Hindi by taking one course at their present level of proficiency, three additional courses above their present level, and one approved course in Hindi literature and/or culture. For students completing a major and minor OR two majors in our department, only two courses can be double counted.
